About
I grew up in a village in Mount Lebanon, watching women I loved live lives shaped by other people’s decisions. At seventeen I chose medicine, then gynecology. Not by accident, but as a mission.
Every patient who asked me “why is this happening” pushed me further: into psychotherapy, into homeopathy, into twenty-six years on the Sufi path, and toward a way of caring for the whole woman, not just her symptoms.
Modern medicine is based on pathology and not on healthy amazing abilities of the body. Every couple will remember in its own way, the way back to trusting the body. A mentor is a must, reminding them of their choices, best preparations and how to say no to procedures that might interfere.
Birth and not delivery. Babies are not pizzas! And a birth is centered around the mother, not the obstetrician, who is there to assist only when needed.
